Akira Lane Bio

Okinawa, Japan is Akira Lane’s birth city — she was born there on June 9th, though she won’t give up the year. Her mother is also Okinawan, and her father is Hawaiian. An only child, she got the best of Eastern and Western cultures, attending American schools in the Japanese isles but keeping strong ties to her homeland. At age 18, she packed up and left Japan for Norfolk, Virginia, where she was set to attend Old Dominion University. She started her studies there, but during one spring break vacation in San Diego, she fell in love with the West Coast. Only a few months later, Lane packed up again and moved to California, showing her well-known adventurous side.

After a stint in junior college, San Diego State University accepted her transcripts — she received a bachelor in International Business two years later. Five years after that, Lane decided the jobs she received selling financial plans were not satisfying enough. She took another big step, this time moving north to Orange County. Once there, Lane landed employment in the hi-tech sector and quickly moved up within her company. One night, after downing several shots at a bar, she accepted a dare that would change her life forever: a friend challenged Lane to post her images on the Internet. Never one to back down, Lane did just that, starting AkiraLane.com.

The rest, as far as we’re concerned, is history. Net surfers ate up her beautiful pictorials and soon Lane was traveling to shows across the country so that fans could see her in the flesh. The website was developed into a real business and soon, Lane’s job in computer applications was taking a backseat to modeling. In fact, she was so successful online that she was named the 2001 Web Model of the Year, and took home the Glamour Elite Site award as well. Hugh Hefner, who, as we all well know, has an eye for rising “talent,” convinced her (quite easily) to do a spread in the July 2002 issue of Playboy. She was thus able to reach millions of people in a mainstream venue and the continued to bombard them after performing in several of the Playboy channel’s movies, including Naughty Amateur, Coed Carwash and Weekend Flash.

Now one of the world’s most popular nude models, Lane appeared in calendars for Women of the East and Erebuni, and another naughty film called Maximum Thrust, all in 2003. Lane is also busy maintaining AkiraLane.com, fulfilling booking dates for modeling shows, responding to fan email and shooting for several magazines.

Trivia

Has done a great deal of modeling work for Pavel Dvorak. She mostly models pantyhose for him.

Was the Captain of her cheerleading squad in high school.

Began her film career in 2002, and continues modeling for magazines and her website.

Plans to give up her career after she marries to be a full-time wife and homemaker. She would also like to have children.

Hobbies include photography, gourmet cooking, roller blading, kickboxing, karakoke, body surfing and aerobics.

She enjoys dancing (Hip Hop, Salsa, Japanese Folklore and Hula), sports (especially golf) and playing music (piano & flute).
